On the road again

I leave early Friday May 19, 2011 to head to Michigan for the Kirtland Warbler Festival. I am the featured photographer at the show and will be selling my pictures and talking up my nature photography. They asked me to do it last year but I was too busy planning my Alaska trip to do it. I hope to get setup early afternoon on Friday and have some time in the evening to get some photos. I hope to do the same Saturday evening since I will be heading back early Sunday to drop my wife Carol off at the house and pick up my supplies and head north to the Dakotas.
My plan is to get past Chicago Sunday evening before stopping for the night so I won’t have to deal with all the traffic in the morning. I should be able to get to Steele North Dakota before dark. I hope the weather is good and not rainy like it has been at home. I have attached a map showing my route and I will have a little more than two weeks to explore and get lots of pictures I hope.

I was suppose to have my good friend Brian Jorg with me on the trip but with all the rain we have had this spring, he couldn’t take the time off because they were so far behind at work, so I will be doing this adventure on my own.
